Lindy Hop Welcome Tea!
NUS Lindy Hop club will be having our welcome tea, to introduce this lively and absolutely fun dance to you!!

16th Aug 2010, 7.30pm
Venue:
CAC dance studio, YIH Lvl 4, NUS
(Turn left after the upper exit of YIH study room and walk past the toilets, past the glass doors)
Program Outline:
-Introduction to Lindy Hop Dance and our club
-Recruitment of Committee Members
-Instructors Demon
-NUS Run Dance Performance
-Trial Workshop
-Course registration
-Tea and Social dance
Attire:
- Casual clothing (anything that you feel comfortable in) and comfortable shoes
- For ladies: no heels please!

The NUS Lindy Hop Club are conducting Beginner, as well as Performance Lindy hop courses!
Current NUS undergraduates and graduates are all welcome to join! Absolutely NO prior dance experience required for the Beginner course!! =)
What is Lindy Hop?
Lindy Hop is the original swing dance, popularised by the Harlem Ballroom in NY from the 1920s to 1940s. It is primarily a partner dance but coupled also with solo jazz steps, and is characterized by its youthful, energetic and yet smooth flavour.

The NUS Lindy Hoppers are going to conduct a Beginner+Intermediate Lindy Hop course during the 3 months school break!!!
Current NUS students and graduates are all welcome to join, and moreover, all will enjoy the subsidised student rate!
Do make the most of your holiday to learn not only the basics at a Beginner level but also build on them to reach an Intermediate level in Lindy Hop!

- Course for ALL (Beginners included): 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th June 2010- 7:30 to 8:30pm (4 x 1 hour lessons)
*Please note that ALL are welcome; no prior experience is required!
People with prior Lindy Hop experience can opt to join from 8th June onwards.
